Q: Can I bring my baby/child? A: Anchored in Hope is a CHILD FREE event! As much as we LOVE littles, this retreat is designed to be a place where moms can find rest and retreat from daily life. We want to ensure that the environment is free of distractions so attendees can connect and commune with God and others. Please no children or infants of any age. No exceptions. Q: What is the Retreat theme? A: The theme for the 2018 Retreat is LOVE. As believers, we are promised an abundant life. We are only able to do this when we cast our fears on the Lord and release our anxieties and expectations that we hold as both women and mothers. We can do hard things in LOVE in all circumstances. Together we will ponder what it means to be loved, live boldly, walk in freedom, and live an abundant life.
Our theme verses are: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35
And I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength with all the saints to understand the height and depth of His love and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16b-19
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:47
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. ~Deuteronomy 6:4-7
The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. ~Jeremiah 31:3
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
